I've owned minecraft for years, it works fine on my desktop PC with the same account I recently tried to log back in on my laptop (signed me out as it had been a while) and I load it up to see I can only play the demo version This is my only mojang account and I know that I 100% own the game on this account, have for years

The demo is the exact same game, except the launcher passes a special "-demo" argument to the game (prior to 1 3 there was an actual "demo" version which was a separate game, which is why versions older than 1 3 let you play the full game), so installing mods should work the same way
