31 votes, 109 comments true I’ve used both, kitty first and then wezterm I decided to stick with wezterm almost entirely because it’s scripted in lua, which matches my other scripting (neovim, awesomewm, etc ) also the fact that wezterm is written in rust whereas kitty is written in python c if these aren’t important to you, they’re almost identical in features - gpu accelerated

Hi all, I'm interested in finding an alternative for Terminal app (macOS) On searching, the most common 4 names come up: iTerm2, Alacritty, WezTerm, and Kitty

Wezterm is a fantastic terminal emulator with tons of features and Lua customization I also think it nailed the basics as a good terminal emulator, it's lightweight and responsive, font rendering is great, and default keybindings are memorable

That's a pity, indeed, but Alacritty still stands as the best terminal emulator I've ever tried I'm hoping I can learn Rist good enough to try and give a hand for supporting ligatures ahah

Yeah PowerLevel10k supports icons for various cases of exit codes(e g the icon used when a command exits with a success code even though it failed to do something can be different then when the command entirely fails)
