Regarding the "working man's guitar", I've read that this is what Gibson called the J-45 when it was introduced (in 1942?) but haven't seen any evidence to back that up I believe Gibson did have a WM (Working Man) series of guitars at some point in the 1980's or 1990's I'm sure someone else here will know more about that Edited June 7 by Boyd
