If they did not, I would be sending Delta a complaint about that fact and now the resulting name problems and I would "cc" every travel writer who handles travelers complaints in the US

As a Delta Airlines passenger for decades I’ve flown their partner airlines AF, KLM, etc without disappointment While I prefer a Delta flagged and operated aircraft I’ve had zero issues with any of them When attempting to book a flight to Rome a year ago I found that the price was much cheaper via Air France KLM’s website than via Delta

Delta website now says "For travel originating in Europe for Main Cabin and above tickets, there are no change and cancel fees For Basic Economy tickets, the cancellation charge and change fee is €200 " I guess the bottom line is - read the fine print when buying; policies can and do change and unfortunately can be quite confusing
