I like guns of all kinds here is one of my favorites that I acquired a little while ago This is a Ruger Mini 30 7 62x39 I got for deer hunting and I reload for it I put a better adjustable peep sight on it and also replaced the plastic heat shield with a wood shield I think it looks and shoots much better than straight factory stuff

To my understanding, the ony requirement for long guns in a vehicle is that the are unloaded Hunting season has nothing to do with it The only area that might apply is to a restricted handgun permit (if you are stopped and claim you are using the "hunting" exemption on your restricted handgun license, but it isn't hunting season)

In USA (including NY) and Canada (but don't know about NYC) they are flare LAUNCHERs not GUNs This was a big discussion legal jumble in Canada some years ago; it was of concern for NY boaters who carried flare launchers into Canadian waters Final solution is that they are NOT guns any more than a toy gun is a gun or a poptart gun is a gun
