The Hap program is great my friends and I have had many great hunts on HAP lands like hunting State lands, you have to put in your time doing some scouting and talking to locals like others said you may have to walk a few parcels to find the right spot for you

From my understanding, MI-Hunt is just a statewide map with overlays that show land that is open to the public to hunt - state land, CFR land and HAP land Are you thinking of the HAP program where private landowners grant access in order to reduce their deer numbers? If so, I've never hunted any of those lands

There is also some Hunter Access Property (HAP) around and also St Johns Marsh down near Algonac Harsens Island also allows deer hunting but only via special permit (not sure how hard it is to get) land near City of St Clair Always see a fair amount of deer before, during, and after the season I'd say population is good if not great
