The officer (gold) and enlisted (silver) UDT badges were short lived and became obsolete after everyone began wearing the officer (gold) Trident and the enlisted (silver) Trident also became obsolete Some of the enlisted sailors took their silver Tridents to a jeweler and had them gold plated so

This suggests strongly to me that the Robbins hallmark was added later by hand and is NOT integral to the original strike 3) I also believe that the Robbins use of the Winged R is a post war-50's hallmark (but I am also aware of some controversy that this may be a hallmark that was used late in WWII)

Fellow collectors, I am on a quest to determine when GEMSCO used the hallmark GEMSCO AGO G2 on their insignia We have all seen these markings on numerous badges Curiously I have never seen just G2 used by itself which should be correct for GEMSCO in the 1960-1965 timeframe Also GEMSCO used G22

H H and Imperial wings hallmarked wings are relatively common I wouldn't call them rare by an stretch of the imagination Remember, 1943-1944 were pretty much the peak of US aviation, as the war would end early in 1945 One could quibble, but I suspect that by that time, H H was churning out a ton of product every month

The raised mark, 3 hearts with “P” “ ” and “B” inside them, is the Maker Mark of Paye Baker Manufacturing Company of North Attleboro, Massachusetts I have only seen one other example of this wing with this hallmark on it The wing is sterling silver with solid gold applied lettering
