  • Tech Aero IBEC availability. - FlyingGiants
Discussion Tech Aero IBEC availability General Discussion I just bought a HV unit from them, took 2-1 2 weeks to get it I'm in Ohio and believe they are in New Jersy, they are probably just busy
  • Tech-Aero Ultra IBEC question - FlyingGiants
That being said, I'm running the standard Tech Aero IBEC at 6 6v to the ignition using LiFe 6 6v battery packs on a GP38 So, no delta GP says their ignition needs at least 6 6v to run properly, so I can't run the IBEC at, say, 6 1v I suspect there are a fair number of flyers who run LiFe batteries through a Tech Aero IBEC to a GP ignition
  • RCEXL KILL SWITCH as an IBEC. . . ?? - Page 2 - FlyingGiants
I've always used the rc ext opto kill as an ibec Buy a battery pack with 2x output leads I use the second plug on one of the batteries to supply ignition power through the rc exl Simple and effective and way cheaper than any ibec 16 00 rc ext opto kill FTW
  • AR IBEC? - FlyingGiants
This has nothing to do with servos, and just because it has an aluminum box does not mean it is more (or less) susceptible to moisture, condensation, or vibration And although I do buy many things from AR, the shipping from OZ is a pain, and nobody has better CS than AJ I had the other AR IBEC and did not like it and sold it
  • Tech-Aero IBEC placement - FlyingGiants
From what I have read, the IBEC needs to be as far from receiver as possible I get this, but is there a MINIMUM distance the IBEC also needs to be from the ignition module? Reason asking is because when I plug the IBEC into the ignition module, this brings the IBEC right to where the receiver is in the fuse if leads are extended to full length
  • Tech-Aero IBEC Rcexl Ignition causing Throttle servo to Glitch Jump . . .
the flickering was ever so unnoticeable, but only occured when the engine was on so then, i removed the IBEC, connected the battery directly to CDI, bypassing the IBEC, and the engine ran great, i should say, awesome!! SO then, i connected the original IBEC back, but this time, i connected it directly into the receiver, without the extension
  • Syssa (Aero-tech) Ultra IBEC - FlyingGiants
Re: Syssa (Aero-tech) Ultra IBEC I tried one from TBM a while ago and I believe it was the Wike brand I don't know if they have changed that one, perhaps now they have 2nd or 3rd generation, but it had one problem: when you wanted to kill the engine you had to wait until the capacitors completely discharged
  • Tech-Aero Ultra IBEC HV added to product line - FlyingGiants
Hi all I saw that there was a recent thread related to HV IBEC capabilities This is just to confirm that Tech-Aero Designs LLC is now offering the Ultra IBEC HV for use with higher voltage ignition modules, with a choice of 5 9V, 6 3V, 7 3V and 8V output to the ignition via jumper selection
