I think eventually IPSC will introduce a Standard Optics, but I expect it would be Major Minor The box would be the same except for a cutout for the optic The box limits the size of the magazine, so shooting minor will get you more rounds but at the cost of lower peripheral hits

IPSC sure has changed it revolver formats over the years We used to be able to shoot whatever we brought, scope, bull barrells, comps, but at least they were all 6 shooters Today there are a lot of people shooting 8 shot guns and they are more than welcome to use them in IPSC providing they reload after 6 rounds

Hahaaaa! IPSC just posted the latest President's Newsletter and it states that Italy, Poland, Norway, Czech republic and Guam will also start with the provisional division "Optics" it's getting closer for us IPSC guys as well! Edited December 19, 2024 by WFargo
