In a series of tweets, SF TV author and executor of the Harlan Ellison Estate, J Michael Straczynski, has hinted that the much-delayed (by 48 years) The Last Dangerous Visions anthology may be coming out, or at least something is happening with it JMS is releasing the news one word a day for

Given that JMS isn't the biggest fan of GRRM (for obscure 1990s SFF political reasons, and JMS has seemed to have inherited Ellison's intolerance of people he doesn't like), I suspect we won't see a story from him this time, not to mention that GRRM's really too busy to write a new one I think

Thinly veiled pandering is all it was, with a highly improbably enemy regime and some downright silly chase scenes Did they do Military sf books together ? I have seen Pournelle books that sound like the type and Niven wiki page saying he did some good military sf one that was even compared in quality to Starship Troopers

Although Vespasian is sometimes improbably put into every seeming significant historical event, readers of this series should be used to this by now It doesn't take away from the fact that there's a feeling of plausibility with most of it
