Another great viewpoint is the Eggishorn, which is the main peak you see off to the south, across the glacial expanse of the Konkordiaplatz, from the Jungfraujoch From the top of the Eggishorn, you can see up the glacier to the Jungfraujoch, as well as around the corner down the full expanse of the Aletschgletscher It is an amazing view

Jungfraujoch was high on our list of things to see, but due to the expense we planned our trip carefully We went on a perfectly clear morning (the only one out of the 6 days we were there) We left Wengen on the first train around 7:40 and arrived at Jungfraujoch at about 9:20

Or with the other pass it would be $500 for Berner oberland pass that would pay for practically everything except 200 total for Jungfraujoch and 80 total for schilthorn totaling 780 I still think that one of these passes may be worth it whether we do Jungfraujoch or not

It asked "Do I also pay CHF 99 - for a trip to the Jungfraujoch with a Half-Fare Card and a B-O pass?? It answered "From the Eigergletscher station you pay CHF 75 return You can buy the ticket online or directly on site " The B-O pass brochure states it is CHF99 to Jungfraujoch, but on the website it says 75CHF what am I missing??

Originally we were kinda locked in to go to the Schilthorn excursion given it is cheaper and easier to get there but after reading reviews, it sounds like alot of people say that Jungfraujoch is once a lifetime experience and should go there without doubt even it is expensive longer to get there etc so therefore it kinda stopped me thinking

The advantage of the Jungfrau pass is that it covers one trip to Jungfraujoch But if you get the BO pass you can pay about 65 CHF to add on the trip to Jungfraujoch The Jungfrau pass will not cover you to Lucerne Both the BO and Jungfrau pass cover the cable cars above Wengen and Murren (but not all the way to Schilthorn)

Jungfraujoch is not a mountain peak, it’s a saddle in between mountains to view the glacier Completely different type of experience than Schilthorn Less touristy is a term I’d use lightly It’s still very touristy busy, but it is less expensive and a more enjoyable trip up to it
