This may actually because of the expertise of the LICEcap developers: I ran IrfanView's tool to break LICEcap files into individual slides, but it appears LICEcap uses layers and image positions to avoid recording whole frames at every little change This will save a lot of space, but might make it incompatible with other animation tools

Just renamed it "licecap ini" - what a wonder, licecap came up again, wroking as expected Can´t believe that worked :confused::) Glad to hear yours is back up and working again to The ini file wasn't in the LiceCap folder, for me it was under users\<username>\appdata\roaming on my C drive (have licecap installed on E)
