LAGKAPTEN and its predecessor LINNMON are made of the same materials; basically a Fiberboard top and Honeycomb structure paper filling If you plan to use it, note 2 problems- Don't ever get the top wet, water spills etc If it penetrates, it will develop unsightly bubbles on the surface The center will sag over time

Can’t speak to the Lagkapten but I have the Trotten (standing) with the same dimensions you’re considering and it’s absolutely great The depth is amazing and makes a huge difference My last desk was 26” and it’s a significant change literally and visually

Lagkapten tops will definitely sag over time if it doesn't have any underside reinforcement support The tabletop is comprised of a fiberboard (aka MDF) honeycomb structure which doesn't convey "strength" in my opinion

Slight sizing difference width wise, the 59in linnmon, now 55in lagkapten is now is 23in deep instead of the 29in previous other diffidences are in color option and hole placement on the bottom for mounting adils, olov, or other standard legs
