The 1955 501's look like the have a closer fit, tighter maybe They cost 10x as much as regular run of the mill 501's as well I've now lost 208 pounds and I'm nearly to my goal weight and old jeans sizes of 32 inches So I'm trying to figure which 501 Jean's to get I know those here know

Levi Denim I was looking at the 501's, 505's and 517's all of them prewashed Either the darker one wash finish or a little bit lighter washed finish I found some of them made in countries I have never heard of The ones made in Mexico seemed to be the better quality regardless of finish, at least from what I saw at the stores last weekend

I love the LVC jeans , only have some 1947 and 1955 though but recently i checked the regular 501 (sanforized pre shrunk denim ) and compared a new one to my still new never worn 1947 One wash Rinse model ( that has been washed once by Levi's , so it is pre shrunk) that is the same cut

I hate the way Levis mark their jeans with the size that they are, rather than the size that they shrink to I had a similar experience to yours with a pair of 30x32 1937s - they're currently up for sale on eBay!
