Flickr Commons is still an invaluable resource for finding license free creative commons photography for art and research purposes Community is super quiet now though

I use Flickr exclusively, it's great for web-based but if people try to view on mobile it kinda sucks They have to make an account to download full res so it can be annoying for others

I think that’s one of the things Flickr is still good at It looks decent, you can create galleries to easily showcase certain images together, and you can post links to your photos pretty much anywhere - so you can still share things on Facebook, Reddit, etc

I use flickr for several purposes all worth the effort for me:- Sharing my work for others to see Creating ideas albums that can only exist online Backing up anything that has become a jpeg Curating others work into collections, to scratch my own creative itch I curate my public work heavily, even though few see the work in the order I intend it
