For a daytrip from Lucerne to Mt Rigi, I know the travel pass covers the boat and the cog train-- but do we need to make advance reservations for an August weekend daytrip? Also, does the Swiss Travel Pass cover the refurbished steamers you all are discussing, or just a more ferry-like boat to get over to Rigi?

We just got back last month from at a trip to Italy and Switzerland We did Venice, Menaggio on Lake Como, Wengen, then one night in Lucerne before taking the train to Zurich to fly home We loved Lake Como and had a great time there…but my husband and I both agreed that if we HAD to choose only one we’d probably pick Lucerne over Como
