Reinstalling the 'Mice and other pointing devices' driver for Windows 10 (Surface pro 7) Hi, I was having trouble with my touchpad recently so I uninstalled the driver, and restarted the computer as I have done in the past which usually reinstalls the driver the touchpad
- I have multiple HID-compliant mouse drivers showing in my Device . . .
When I tried to move it to the center of the screen it would move quickly to the right side again Using Device Manager, I found the "Mouse and other pointing devices" tree and found two HID-compliant mouse drivers I uninstalled both and restarted the PC When it came back up, everything was fine for a few minutes Then the problem started again

I have an Asus laptop and every once in a while I get the same problem, touchpad not working and 'Mice and other pointing devices' disappear from the Device Manager I got it working again by: 1) Open Device Manager 2) Click on View, then 'Show Hidden Devices'

Please check for hidden devices in Device Manager 1 Open Device Manager by pressing Windows + X and selecting it from the menu 2 Click on View in the top menu and select Show hidden devices Check if the mouse or pointers appear under Mice and other pointing devices

Then i went to device manager and there was no "Mice and other pointing device option " Because of this i watched some tutorial where people solve this by using "Human Interface Device " When i went for this option There was no such a option as this Both of my "Mice other pointing device" and "Human Interface Devices" is missing

I checked the device manager and the Mice and other pointing devices category was missing I've been searching fixes for the past few days and none have worked for the record, I have tried; restarting my laptop command prompt commands (them all) downloading drivers from my laptops website (acer) showing hidden devices in device manager
