Without inserting my opinion too much, this argument doesn't incorporate linguistics accurately In some verses of old German translations, you'll find certain verses that say 'kleiner knabe', 'kleiner' meaning small

It eventually depends on what we exactly mean by mistranslation, because part of translation is also interpretation, and if the translator understood the text and its words a specific way, their choice of words is going to reflect that
