Its a hard pad to find because I live among predominantly english riders (I use a western saddle) and using it basically suggests that you should get a professional saddle fitter I found chicks pretty easy to deal with and I feel like nothing stands out either positive or negative about the shipping and service I received

But I LOVE Chick Saddlery They have so many amazing things I have bought two saddles from State Line Tack Actually, maybe it is three I am not sure where I bought the saddle I am riding in now I think State Line Tack Both companies seem fair enough but not cheap Chick Saddlery charges you more shipping charges for spending more

Good brands are Circle Y, Billy Cook, Teskeys, American saddlery (average quality but safe at least), Corrientes are OK but quality can be hit or miss Can't go wrong with the feel of quality harness leather in your hands

I have followed State Line Tack, Chick's and Dover Saddlery from mailed catalogs to online, over about 30 years I used to buy my tack at auctions, but my boots, helmets and personal stuff at local tack shops But, I sent my students to get their riding clothes, gloves, crops, and spurs through the places that are NOW online
