FYI on Marcus, I transferred money in without any problem But when I tried to transfer money out, Marcus screwed me I linked another account to Marcus per Marcus's instructions I initiated a transfer out through Marcus Marcus gave me a confirmation and estimated completion date Then they cancelled the transfer and locked me out of my account

Marcus is a good solid option for an online high yield savings account, but you give up some yield for the comfort ofa familiar brand This is true for AmEx savings as well If you're comfortable with a less familiar name, MidFirst VIO and Bread (Comenity) have pretty consistently paid about a half a percent higher this year
