  • Remortgage advice- complete newbie - MoneySavingExpert Forum
Remortgage to a new lender This would be a mortgage application from scratch Most mainstream remortgage offers are valid for around 6 months so you can start looking about 6 months before your current fix ends
  • When should I remortgage? — MoneySavingExpert Forum
I currently have a 5-year fixed rate mortgage The fixed rate period comes to an end at the end of July I would like to get your thoughts on when to start the remortgage process and whether I should apply to specific lender directly or even move all my banking
  • Borrowing more on a remortgage — MoneySavingExpert Forum
The mortgage (and remortgage) is a single application, salary is £65,000, outgoings (everything) is approx £2,500 per month I'm well aware of interest rates rising and the implications on remortgaging alone let alone borrowing more
  • The mortgage lender- remortgage — MoneySavingExpert Forum
Thanks ACG What do you mean by compliance im just concerned when it comes to remortgage about additional debt we may have - although I know its normal for people to have debt prior to remortgage and generally this isn’t looked at if its a remortgage with the same provider and no changes to amount or term etc
  • When can I remortgage? — MoneySavingExpert Forum
Just on the terminology point, "remortgage" usually means changing provider; "product transfer" means staying with the same provider but on a different interest rate The first will require a full application; the second won't require a full application if nothing else has changed (e g duration of mortgage, amount borrowed etc)
  • Is there a time limit to remortgage in advance?
@ena123If you're considering a remortgage (new lender) - most mainstream remortgage offers are valid for 6 months so with a fix ending in November, you should be able to secure a rate soon FYI rates are secured when you broker submits a full application
