I tried speedtest net on chrome on my phone and I get 160mbps I went to microsoft store to download speedtest net app on my laptop and I also get 700mbps+ Why is there such a major difference? I've tested on firefox as well and it just seems like the web version of speed test limits my speed to 150~160mbps

It seems that only the servers operated directly by speedtest net and a few others support v6 testing at this time You can tell if a test ran over v4 or v6 by looking at your IP on the test results screen

Maybe speedtest was just overloaded at the time, or the unique pathway to it was congested, or they are capping free tests or whatever And fast com was not busy, or closer to you, or whatever Like all tests, the bigger and more varied the sample size, the closer you'll get to your true results
