Only Mesen passed every single test; all the others failed at least one test somewhere in that list Look, I'm not affiliated with Mesen or its developer in any way, but it looks to me like despite its lack of updates in the future, Mesen is likely to remain the most accurate NES emulator out there for the foreseeable future

And if any of you have issues with sound or crashing (even though you've got the correct rom dump), make sure you put your Mesen settings to default I had some overclocking sprite limit removal stuff enabled and sound sampling cranked up and I had bad sound and it crashed before even going in-game (using Mesen core in RetraoArch)

able to reuse a lot of Mesen's code e g Rewinding took me a couple of days to get working on Mesen initially, it took me an hour at most to integrate that code into the SNES emulator :p That's awesome lol The rewind surprised me, just as smooth as Mesen, even on this PC with an i3 8100

Mesen is my favorite because it supports the Sony CXA2025AS pallette (the sky in SMB1 looks like a natural blue - instead of purple) Also, it has a built in updater that makes updating near-seamless Whereas most other emulators you have to download each new version and overwrite the existing binary
