- Need muffler , Oem or aftermarket? - Tacoma World
If your budget for this isn't at the $500+ level for full ss you can always do a cut and weld performance muffler The exhaust note is noticeably louder Cost is about $150 for the ss muffler and install is about $50-$75 at a muffler shop
- Best muffler - exhaust to use. . . - Tacoma World
your not going to get a "best" muffler recommendation on a public forum your going to get a bunch of opinions on what people have bought therefore they think it is the best type of recommendations for some unknown reason the Toyota world seems to think that magnaflow is special and has special powers so there is always a lot of voted for
- Muffler replacement . . . . - Tacoma World
When the OEM muffler goes bad that’s when it’s actually time for the TRD exhaust $475 or so DIY install I’m still surprised no one ever tracked down the Bosal muffler part number that’s used on the TRD exhaust Just buy the muffler for $150, sawzall or bandsaw the existing OEM plumbing parts, weld, and you have a homemade TRD exhaust
- Dual exhaust setup. 1 muffler 2 in 2 out vs 2 mufflers?
If I go with duals is there any difference in hp and tq going with one muffler di do and an x pipe or 2 mufflers also with x-pipe? Secondly I saw a video and liked the sound of a flowmaster super 40 on a tacoma with stock piping just the muffler swap (note that the stock piping for the tacoma is a single exhaust 2 5”)
- 2. 7 L Exhaust Options - Tacoma World
Typically you would simply weld in a muffler at an exhaust shop with lower production models like the i4 2 7 The 2 7 hasnt changed since 2005 much so you can visit Youtube and search for tacomas with 2 7 i4's and you'll find many likely have magnaflow etc welded in at a shop
- Muffler Swap V. S. Full Exhaust System - Tacoma World
There are no significant performance gains with either the muffler or full exhaust swap The only question is sound The muffler can get you that a lot cheaper There are two good reasons to go the full exhaust route First is that eliminating the cats cuts the chances of starting a fire if you wheel the truck in grassy areas
- What is the best exhaust for a 4. 0L v6? - Tacoma World
So i got a '13 Tacoma with the v6 (Yes it's a PreRunner, and i don't really care because i could still hang with most 4x4's on the trails here ) Anyways, i want to know you guys' opinions! I want something loud, deep, cheap, and not a muffler that sounds like a burrito on steroids This is my first motor that isn't a v8 so i have no clue!
