After researching this forum it seems that all 3 choices will sound the same So I’ve concluded the NCX500 would be the most cost effective The Purifi Eigentakt seems to be getting the most attention from reviewers The Hypex Nilai is the latest and greatest and the most expensive choice So the VTV NCX500 is likely going to be my choice

During assembly I discovered BOTH amp modules had broken pins on the expose caps There was no damage to the box They appear to have been shipped from the factory this way I spoke with my retailer and they reported having other people report the same issue Sounds like Hypex is having a manufacturing issue with the Nilai amp modules
- why Nilai500 when cheaper NCx500 out performs it?.
Nilai has less noise, marginally better distortion figures through more of its operational range and maybe technically flatter FR (ncorex seems to have a negligible 0 25 dB rolloff from 10khz), Other than some design elements and the discrete components on Nilai there is not much different to a typical end customer
