Elmar, hey I have successfully set up PLoP to boot MS-DOS from primary hda1, Windows 98 from primary hda2, Windows XP from primary hda3 but have not had success getting PLoP to boot Lubuntu from hda4 L1 (hda4 = first extended partition, hda4 L1 is the first logical partition formatted ext4 mount point " ", hda4 L2 is the second logical partition which is used for Linux Swap)

hi, am usb stick installieren ist im prinzip möglich man braucht einen pc bei dem man mit dem bios von usb booten kann und auf dem stick braucht man dos (z b freedos) zur sicherheit sollte die erste partition am zweiten head starten, denn es kann passieren das ein usb stick bei einem bios 63 sektoren pro head hat und bei einem anderen 32 sektoren pro head hat bei 32 sektoren per

To be honest I don't need to use PLoP to boot on this PC, because it supports USB 2 0 booting, however I sometimes need to boot from other PCs and some of them may not support USB 2 0 or it's disabled in the BIOS and it's password protected, I can reset the password in DOS but sometimes that's not desirable

Plop locks up when I select the second partition on a drive for booting This is the active primary partition and it boots fine using standard Windows MBR (although it's not a Windows installation; it's GRUB2) Plop does boot from the first partition, no problem Is it possible that plop is using the CHS address instead of the LBA address?
