Ownership sounds right to me - and several sources claim they were indeed acquired by "the Alaska Air Group" in 1986, whatever that means Good info but am still hoping someone with maybe more inside info could chime in Most of my memories of them from years ago are on Q400s between RNO, OAK, STS, PDX, maybe SEA, and probably some others as

Any idea what the deal is with that plane? Do they fly Combi anymore? I sure miss seeing their 737-200 Combi How is Alaska Freight doing? It is 614AS and is waiting on structural repairs in SEA It will fly again Alaska Air Cargo appears to be doing great, it was recently expanded and re-organized into its own division at AAG

- How were Alaska Airlines services to Russia in the 1990s!?
Not really a ton of people or demand Plus those cities are pretty much like Russias Alaska, not really too much of a reason to travel so far to see similar weather VVO Vladivostok would be the only city with demand but its 3,291 miles away Not really that close, other than that not too much demand between Alaska and those small Russian cities
