I have a 2022 Kona Yesterday, my check engine light came on (steady, not blinking ) A friend was able to check what the problem code is and it is P2181 Cooling System Performance The car isn't acting in anyway different and the temp gage seems to read everything fine The problem is I need to do an 8 hour drive tomorrow

The Kona is a rebadged Niro and the EV6 shares the E-GMP platform with the Ioniq 5 6 so I imagine the trim levels would be in the same ball park price-wise IMO, heat pumps should be standard on all EVs, they are just so much more efficient than resistive heaters

The Kona gets glowing reviews, but most people drive the fancy models The base model gets a worse dashboard, a much weaker engine, and torsion beam in place of independent rear suspension It's a huge downgrade, but most reviews are still positive If you can get past the cheapness, it still handles really well and gets good fuel economy Reliability? Hyundai doesn't have the best reliability
