The thing is, from looking at older listings on bay when I first got into Pokémon in 2020, it seems like mystery boxes packs actually used to give people the ‘value’ they spent on it back — it was usually just spread around in misc products, sealed, singles, cheaper slabs, etc, that the seller bought in bulk or made larger offers from different sellers on, thus their spread allowed

The problem with this logic is it implies that getting a gold tier PokeRev pack hustles PokeRev and makes the consumer the “scammer” It isn’t meant to be a pack that is worth exactly what it costs - if you want that, vote with your wallet and go buy five packs of random SwSh era packs and skip the potential for a vintage pack
