what is default preamble setting and can it be changed? trying to get stable connection between 7000 and 2500, and suggestion from r7000 forum is to modify preamble on r7000 to short from the default of long when i do this on the 7000, i lose connectivity to the 2500 and all connectivity to clients

I setup the router, however I cannot change the 5GHz band from using long preamble to use short preamble I can select short preamble, in theory save it, but when the router restarts is is still on long preamble mode

I *think* what solved it in the end was setting the 2 4 Ghz channel to "Short Preamble" - so I'd encourage you to try that But really, even though that seemed to do the trick for me, I was lucky enough that my printer had an ethernet port and, in the end, I decided that connecting via ethernet was the most stable, reliable and effective thing
