For piston protrusion I have tried to find exact figures for my 97 I read one thread that posted 0 024-0 028 protrusion is oem spec Mine being 030- 034 if I went with a 010 over head gasket I'm assuming I would lose a little bit of compression across the board but also increase my PTV

Currently, the protrusion is at the level of 0 035 (0 9 mm) What should I do? A thicker gasket (hardly available in Europe) and a protrusion of 0 025 or lower the top of the piston by 0 005 and keep the protrusion at 0 030? Can these pistons be machined at all? Thanks for help

The gasket thickness is determined by piston protrusion above the block Measure the protrusion any thing above 030 use the thicker gasket marked by two holes anything les use the thinner one marked by one hole
