How do QH's generally do in Dressage? I know it's more of a Saddlebred Thoroughbred Warmblood dominated sport, but I've always thought it to be quite beautiful and would like to train in it (though, I do sometimes think it's a bit to stiff) I want to really train alot with my little QH filly

QH horses were a mix of stock horses and TBs up until 1940 when QH X with TB meant Appendix registration if the TB was approved An approved TB that is registered and bred to a registered APH is registrable with APHA

Or a QH, especially one with very differing qualities (All of them? Never seen a QH that I said "Wow! I'd breed that to a Friesian!") To create a reasonable cross with a purpose promising future is a better reason But then again, some people probably see use in a QH Friesian To each their own! Wide, Full-QH Bars are generally the same, 7 0" Gullet, 92 degree rafter angle That being said, the In-between size is Regular-QH Bars and many people who try to use 1 saddle for a dozen Horses select a Regular-QH bar, does that always work?

Same problem Go figure And to make things more confusing - the angle of the bars by one manufacturer, either semi, QH or full QH, will be different from the angle of another manufacturer So, just because a Simco saddle with semi QH bars fits your horse just fine, doesn't mean that a Circle Y saddle with semi QH bars will fit the same way

Yep, got a Belgian mare that is a little over 17 hands and she had been bred to a barely 14 hand QH Now the baby is a yearling and standing at 15 hands Sometimes you will get a structural crop-out even from same-size matings At an Appy show farm my Dad used to work at, there was an appy mare and stud that both stood a little over 14 hands
