- RCBS vs. Redding dies - Cast Boolits
I added a Lee through powder expander before I got the RCBS set SxS sizing , the brass working is about the same to my chamber Die brass contact happens about the same place The Redding makes a much more decided line on the neck and a slightly longer grip area The RCBS is a more fluid line and honestly better suited to my personal needs
- RCBS MatchMaster Dies? | Snipers Hide Forum
These RCBS dies work well for me I use 223, 243, 30-06 and 6mm Creedmoor The concentricity is really about the same as the standard dies I do have a set of Redding dies for a 6mm AR and the seating die have about 25% less 'runout' than the RCBS dies
- Comparing reloading die sets. . . . . RCBS vs. Redding
If lead, RCBS has a nice "cowboy" reloading die set which is made specifically for lead projectiles I have an 1895 (22" 45-70) and use the RCBS Cowboy die set and it performs well I'm shooting mostly lead 300 gr RNFP bullets at around 1,100 fps at paper and steel (it will also load jacketed bullets just fine which I've also done about 50 of)
- Hodgdon purchases RCBS from Revelyst Vista outdoors
About RCBS Established by Fred Huntington in 1943, RCBS is dedicated to the craft of handloading ammunition Started with one simple bullet die, RCBS is now the leading manufacturer of reloading equipment and tools for rifles and pistols – everything from presses, dies, shell holders, powder measurers and priming products
- RCBS, the first press - Cast Boolits
RCBS research had determined that most people preferred down stroke operation, but to cater to those who felt the original Pacifc was best the blocks were drilled and tapped to be convertible to up stroke if the owner preferred The relationship was short lived, RCBS needed more control over quality and Heckner was a bit eccentric
- 280 RCBS Imp. Help - Long Range Hunting Forum
280 Rem cartridges should be a crush fit in that RCBS chamber I'd remove the ejector (if its of the spring loaded plunger type) and the firing pin assembly and see if 280 Rem factory loaded cartridges were, in deed, a crush fit
- rcbs reloading dies - Cast Boolits
RCBS dies have a date code on them Most of them are by year of manufacture (78, 66, 80, etc ) but some have a letter date code (M, or other letter) I know the 78 would stand for 1978 and etc , but I do not have a set of codes for the letter codes
- RCBS bullet puller Mod for COAX press | Snipers Hide Forum
I had changed my press over to a Forster coax from a traditional single stage For those with the coax you know a twisting motion on the RCBS bullet puller in the press doesn’t work very well I wanted something similar to the Hornady cam lock but while still using the RCBS (I like the collet design and I already had a bunch)
