RTFM is an absolutely appropriate response - WHEN is is a part of the conversation and illuminates a complex subject So, I can say, "I use rsync -auv <source> <target> as a backup solution", and then say, "Look at man rsync, because there are a lot of ways to use it" rather than trying summarize the whole complex thing in a sentence or two

I am looking for a way to use the Debian machine (2) as a jump host to reach the Windows machine (3) via RDP and bring this connection back to the Windows machine (1) I have basic knowledge, I can read manuals (RTFM), but I need some help because I am not very familiar with Linux Thank you very much for your help!

I originally started hacking on it to make it suit my own purposes - until I realized just how customizable it is via its "config conf" file Then I reverted back to the stock script and put together a nice config file (and slapped myself around a bit for not rtfm in the first place)

There is a LOT of information in the man and info pages Reading through it can be time well spent And if you don't want to read the entire manual - you could always just search for parts of the manual that you are interested in using the search command e g
