The 777X could allow UA to increase it's Premium Seat count A UA 779 could seat 80J32W24Y+228Y for a total of 364 seats sure and they could have increased premium space with 747-8 or A380 in the past, as well Does UA really want more than the 72J seats they have now on the 77W and how many routes can support that?

The "article" is nothing but total speculation It is, but even so the 777x would be a good time for a corporate update I think the newer fleet looks a bit dated in Chatham I’m not so sure how accurate the article is, given the fact that BA’s livery has been around for longer than 25 years - by 2026, it will have been 29 years to be exact

The 777X will happen when BA is able to focus on completing it and it could be 2026 or even 27 at this point but there really is nothing the customers can do Not sure I agree with that the 777-9 is larger than the A350-1000 but not hugely more It also (from my understanding) needs very high load factors to beat the economics of the A350
