Two years ago I was diagnosed with pretty bad osteoporosis because of the prednisone I was on for my autoimmune disease I started taking Fosamax (a bisphosphonate) and had no problems Today, the endocrinologist suggested that I switch to Reclast for 3 yearly infusions Has anyone else taken this drug? What side effects have you had? Thanks

@pookybear01 Reclast or Zometa (both zoledronic acid infusions) are prescribed because aromatase inhibitors cause loss of bone density, and they are also supposed to have some protective effect against cancer spread to bones

Has anyone done well after doing the Reclast Infusion? I am due to do this before the end of April 2025 Kind of scared with hearing all bad side effects and need to hear good news with Reclast?

I had first Reclast infusion May 2023 Last week or two I had increased tooth sensitivity, and started using Sensodine Yesterday I started jaw pain and today it is swollen and sore I called Endo who prescribed, and waiting for a call back Has anyone else had this happen??? Thank you!
