I picked up some Red Custard apples (Annona reticulata} today (Feb15th) from a friend who is growing them in Parkland FL These beauties weighed from 1 5 to almost 2 lbs each He has been harvesting them for the past 3 weeks They have a little grit but are very sweet and have a flavor similar to birthday cake, which is what I call them

The seedling of Red Malaysian from La Verne gives me tasty fruits this year Bought it about 4 years ago from Home Depot because of its beautiful deep reddish purple folliage The tree gave me fruit on the 2nd year in ground, but the fruits were bland 3rd year the fruits were bitter, I wonder if it because it grows next to a papaya tree

That’s true and true 100% about leaf cuttings Sharing the rare genetics and not hoarding is my ethos I just long windedly saying money and ego get in the way of that sometimes, even with those normally super sharing
