Hello everyone I recently acquired a 63 Ludwig kit and am wanting to put a powerstroke on the 20 Does anyone have any experience with the Classic Fit heads? Should I try that or is that a last resort kinda thing?

I agree Remo coatings for batter heads don't seem to have much of a life-span I seldom use coated heads, prefer textured heads for snares so have limited experience To my ears, Evans heads seem to fit a more modern sound that emphasizes attack at the expense of resonance i would rather have the resonance, ergo i use mostly Remo heads

I also used Remo Renaissance, Remo Legacy (now, those were great sounding heads), Evans Strata and several others I forgot I think the Skyntone is the best attempt that Remo ever offered to create a calf like drum head It is rather thin (more like a Fiberskyn FD), but still has enough bottom end to not sound too thin

I have evans g2 coated on my gretsch set and Im staring to think that remo heads give you more quality sound any opinions ?
