- Currys PC world - Changing delivery address - MoneySavingExpert Forum
Hello Apologies for the long read in advance The question is at the end, I just wanted to give a bit of background to understand my question: 'In November 2019, I have purchased a Grundig fridge from Currys PC World which had an extended 5-year warranty (the original warranty was 3 years) In August 2022, the item broke down
- Currys and PC World are NOT the same - MoneySavingExpert Forum
Silly me for thinking that 'Currys PC World' was the same as PC World Still, I've learned my lesson and won't be using, or setting up, any online shopping accounts in future I'll stick to ordering without an account, so that I can be sure I'm actually entering the address I want something delivered to
- The tech guys (pc world currys) steer clear
I recently took out the tech guys package from PC World and would advise anyone else to avoid it I have been mis-sold the package (£6 99 in store payment and then £6 99 per month ongoing), in store the sales assistant said it is for 'any' tech questions of difficulties, when I called about an issue the tech guy said its only to get PCs laptops up and running and not about ongoing questions
- Problem with Currys PC World — MoneySavingExpert Forum
Background: I purchased an LG TV from Curry’s PC World on 20th of August 2019 In July recent I noticed that the screen was displaying an increasingly blue tint On doing some research it seems that this is a common fault with this make and model of television caused by the fitment of substandard LED backlights
- Whatever Happens old PC World insurance cover for Laptop - now with . . .
PC world has since been taken over by Currys and I got a letter recently from Currys, that they will move me into a new scheme, their Care Repair plan which will still cost £5 per month but will have a lot less benefits than the 'Whatever Happens' plan I took out
- How to cancel PC world whatever happens insurance
Sorry to be a pedant but it's not an Insurance Policy, PC World sell "Service Plans" to avoid Insurance Premium Tax, being regulated by the FSA, the FSCS and the Ombudsman They use a complicated off shore system to do the above, with the money to pay "claims" being paid into a trust fund of which there's no guarantee that should the proverbial hit the fan it could afford to pay out to everyone
- CURRYS PC WORLD FINANCE AKA CREATION FINANCE - YOUR PLAN
From what I can see their initial 0% offer was just for the first purchase, it is also not clear that they ever offered 0% on their flexible plan, but looks like your 0% finance offer would have been for one product only, with the option to open the flexible payment plan after and at 24 9% APR unless the item or items you need are absolutely essential I would steer clear of that
- pc world-pc performance scam — MoneySavingExpert Forum
In-store, PC World Currys make ALL their money through warranties and tech service plans Usually to customers who aren't that knowledgable that they're paying for nothing Utter utter scum And agree with the above about it shouldn't be called PC World anymore Our local's just had a big refit and there's more TVs than PC stuff now
