Founded in 2018, The RiverFront combines three parks in the heart of downtown Omaha into one identity After undergoing renovations, the three parks now connect, serving as a gathering space between the historic Old Market and vibrant north downtown Omaha Gene Leahy Mall opened to the public on July 1, 2022, while Heartland of America Park and Lewis Clark Landing opened on August 18, 2023

- Heartland of America Park – The RiverFront
Offering panoramic views of the Missouri River and sweeping green lawn space, Heartland of America Park is the largest of The RiverFront’s three components Its lake and fountain have been welcoming visitors as they cross from Iowa into Nebraska since the early 1990s, along with shorefront piers and extensive walking trails While these popular features remain in place, The RiverFront
- Lewis and Clark Landing – The RiverFront
Sharing an extensive border with the Missouri River, Lewis Clark Landing is the northernmost component of The RiverFront, located just east of the CHI Health Center Omaha arena and convention center This park has undergone significant transformation since renovations broke ground in late 2020 The area, which was mostly barren concrete, has been redesigned to include extensive green space
- Gene Leahy Mall – The RiverFront
A longtime and iconic feature of downtown Omaha, Gene Leahy Mall is the most urban of The RiverFront’s three parks, spanning from 13th to 8th streets between Douglas and Farnam streets, with towering buildings on either side Since its inception as the Central Park Mall in the 1970s, this area has remained rich with Omaha history including the Solo Building archway and beloved slides, both
