I found these Rutters saddles in my parts bin and was thinking of installing them on one of my Teles When I look at them though, something seems off Each saddle is marked on the side of the barrel with a sharpie denoting one of the strings One saddle has an "A" on one side, one has a "B" and the third has a "G" and "D" on the corresponding

I am about to order a Marc Rutters bridge and I see that there are several options as far as materials for the saddles Can anyone give me their opinions on the Brass, Stainless Steel, or Brass w Aluminum E A? I am sure that everyone uses different terminology, and often the same terminology for different definitions, but anything will help

Yes I've heard of Marc Rutters! I bought stuff from him several years ago It took a while to get it, but it was great hardware and a pine body that turned into this:

I have 4 teles with glendale steel, rutters steel, c j steel and callaham steel and 1 tele with rutters alum brass brass They are all 1 piece maple neck and ash or pine bodies I like the steel, I don't think it's too much on the high strings All of the steel tele's are pretty dang zingy, but so is the other one

The Rutters knobs are much heavier than the Glendales (I didn't think to weigh them, darn) My take is that I'm most sensitive to the difference between the more solid mount provided by the smaller metal control plate vs Strat sized Bakelite pickguard and also the stiffness of the pots rotation

Contact Mark Rutters and ask him what would work best Chances are he will have something or can make something for you His products are high quality and his saddles will improve the tone on any Tele! I have several set of his saddles and recommend them highly,
