SCARCE accepts a variety of items for reuse and recycling as part of our effort to help people and our planet prosper New and gently used books and supplies can be donated by local community members, schools, and organizations looking to reduce waste and give back to students everywhere

SCARCE gives away all of its books and school supplies and, thus, depends on donations to pay the rent, utilities, and staff of the Book Rescue, Tools for Schools, Super Crayon Project, and other rescue programs

Events are typically hosted by the local community or a community organization and are held on Saturday mornings in the spring and fall Would your community like to host a recycling event? With backgrounds ranging from teaching to environmental science, the SCARCE staff will do whatever it takes to answer your question, help you organize an event or teach you a bit more about what you can do to reduce your environmental footprint
