- 2005 600 SDI running poorly | Hardcore Sledder
05 600 SDi its developed a slight sputter at low speeds like a plug is skipping a beat I changed plugs Still does it ! High speed is fine, but 10-20-30 mph, sputter skip I was wondering what that might be ??? Also, the guy before me, had BR9ES plugs in it Is this normal ? I thought Skidoo was BR9E C S What are you guys running for plugs?

The sdi is the 600ho motor with fuel injection So if you have ridden the 600ho then you wont notice much difference except the sdi will run alot better in all temps etc, and much much better mpg and smoother I've owned many 600ho carbed, and many sdi's including an 08 sdi's and you should definitely pick the sdi over the carbed version

IMO SDI would be well worth having for two reasons--lower operating cost due to beter gas mileage, and greater range due to better gas mileage At 8 mpg my sled sucks down the gas and has a range of only about 80-90 miles

Do not try to adjust SDI idle yourself Take it to a dealer They'll plug it in and change the idle for you Should be free unless your dealer is a prick!!

05 MXZ800, no lights, tach etc Relay is good and two 20 amp fuses are good There is no voltage at the harness with the relay at all Any ideas

I've had 1 carbed 600, 2 SDI's, 1 Etec and 2 600R's 600R is in a different class powerwise but gets worse fuel and oil economy than the Etec's,and SDI's Yes you can still work on a carbed sled, but the carbs are packed in pretty tight so might not be doing much trailside
