1 tbsp of granulated garlic I have seen an Italian sausage recipe on you tube in which anise seed and crushed fresh garlic were used I am thinking for my next batch of (close to) Shakey's Italian sausage, I will substitute crush fresh garlic in place of the granulated garlic, and include some freshly crushed star anise
