- Bigsby on SG - Gibson USA - Gibson Brands Forums
I found a used SG that already had a B5 installed, and it's still lighter than my '94 LP Standard I don't have any experience on an SG without a Bigsby, so I can't tell you how it might effect the feel and the balance Of course, a B7 would be a little heavier than a B5 But, having said all that, I sure do like my SG w Bigsby

that depends alot on your budget and what you are looking for I recently scored a '01 SG Special off ebay in near perfect condition with a new hardshell case shipped for $500 00, thats a great guitar IMO, the inlays and cosmetic things werent that critical to me so a special worked great for me, I still GAS for a 61 reissue but they are SO expensive and at this time my budget wont allow that

- side-jack SGs - Gibson USA - Gibson Brands Forums
My SG Standard is a 1981 model with Super Humbuckers and the input jack mounted on the side of the guitar, similar to the placement of a Les Paul jack I've see a lot SGs out there but few with this jack location

The jack will run $3 99 and the switch $31 99 from switchcraft Don’t buy the switch from anyone else unless you can hold the package in your hand and see the name switch craft on it, and only then if you can score it for less than $30 For your SG, the 90 degree switch is the one to get
