Sharc - The eArc device that can save you thousands as you . . . - ResetEra This is where the Sharc comes in Sharc is a eArc Audio Converter which add's eArc to your current audio system The device is a small box that you connect one HDMI cable from the Sharc to the TV's eArc Arc HDMI port and the other to the Sharc You then run a HDMI cord from the other Sharc HDMI port to whatever HDMI input on your AV Receiver
Sharc - The eArc device that can save you thousands as you . . . - ResetEra Sharc really fixed all my issues with normal TV, Netflix, prime etc Only there is still minor audio delay with PS4 To be honest, now that I think of it, I also have an nvidia shield tv pro connected over hdmi which doesn't have any av sync problems (sharc fixed these) so to say the CX has problems with Earc arc output isn't strictly true
Sharc - The eArc device that can save you thousands as you . . . - ResetEra Just to let you guys know, my Sharc is working perfectly fine since last weekend after the factory reset So for everyone who has issues with the Sharc and switching inputs on the LG CX reset your CX to factory defaults after you put every device in the correct input :) My setup now is as follows: LG CX - HDMI 1: Xbox Series X - HDMI 2: Sharc --> HDMI Input Cabl Sat on Marantz NR1508
Sharc - The eArc device that can save you thousands as you . . . - ResetEra What's the CEC Loop? Since the Sharc is taking the eARC CEC output from the TV and sending it to an AVR input, if CEC is enabled on the AVR and other devices are connected there then it can create a CEC loop: device->AVR->TV->Sharc->AVR That's why officially Sharc recommends all devices going to the TV (or Sharc with the V2)
