I switched from the 10W30 synthetic blend Ford oil to Rotella T6 5W40 on my second oil change as well I feel it's the best oil I can put in my diesel engine I've towed my 5th wheel RV in some pretty hot weather with no problems I've seen the engine temp close to 230 a few times I feel good knowing it's not hurting the Synthetic oil

You have to reset it every time that you change the oil The iOLM (intelligent oil life monitor) is not tied to the fuel filter reminder and it (the fuel filter reminder) has to be reset independently of the oil change system I change my fuel filters every 15,000 miles (every 2nd or 3rd oil change) and reset the system at that time
