Two things that Sotar told me was that the DS floor added about 10 lb to the weight of the boat, and that they only have DS floors for full standard raft sizes (like 14 ft not 14 6 ft ) My friend thinks that the DS floor aides in maneuvering

Sotar is a little tougher, but rubber is easier to repair in the field with a permanent solution If you want speed on the flats, keep two spare towers and locks ready to fold up and have quick-detach spares

SOTAR checked to see if they had a used floor that would fit, but they only had new floors as options and those run about $2000 For me, that wasn't worth the investment because I need a boat that will last me another 20-30 years, and this isn't that boat
