You don't need to take the whole thing off of the door to get it rekeyed If you have the key, turn it 90° relative to the keyway (12 o'clock or 6 o'clock position), then press the detent on the latch side of the exterior lever until you can pull the lever away from the lock body

Maybe I’m dumb but I struggled getting the encode plus working using the Schlage app and HomeKit and figured I would write up what I learned for others who may struggle The only way to see history on the lock is to use the Schlage app currently (I’m on iOS 15 6) I obviously wanted to connect the lock to HomeKit and still see the history

The most common are Schlage's C keyway (SC1 or SC4, depending on if it's 5 or 6 pins, in typical Ilco EZ blank identification) and Kwikset's #1 keyway (KW1) Schlage has others that are somewhat more common in commercial locks like E, F, and G, and Kwikset uses e g their #10 keyway in their "Titan" line of higher end locks
