I think the major defensive positions are Paducah and Louisville as they secede after Ft Sumter ITTL I can see the Union planning a flanking strategy for Louisville but they probably need to face Paducah head on I can see about 3 4ths of the state falling by late 1861 early 1862 and the rest occupied by the end of 1862
